You think he played with the numbers for Sky of Risewalker too?

Oh yeah. When he notes it cost more to market Jumanji than the massiveness that is the Star Wars franchise, something doesn't add up.

It must have been that limited marketing.

The Deadline contributor is a huge Star Wars fan. Like fanatical. To the point when he did the contest the previous year with The Last Jedi, he tweaked the production budget to only show it cost $250M to make when other sites were reporting $317M.

Sorry. I was off on The Last Jedi production budget tweak. He actually reported $200M instead of the Box Office Mojo $317M.

I'm not going to debate the filmmaking merits of Last Jedi vs Rise of Skywalker, but content-wise, Rise of Skywalker felt more like a Star Wars movie to me, and Luke Skywalker in ROS was the Luke from the original trilogy, not some unrecognizable pessimistic ironic skinflint loser like in Last Jedi.

Your devotion to such an awful movie is commendable.

You're wrong. :sumo:

At least TROS is fun. TLJ is basically the torture scene from Casino Royale. The audience is James Bond in that scenario.
