How in the world did that Aquaman 29 get an 8.0 with that big stain on the back cover?

12-8 = your record
[57] = your score for the round
8.5 etc. = grades you submitted for each book
15,15 etc. = the points you gained/scored based on your submitted grades for each book
0 = the bonus you received
57 = the total of the scores you received

 

Forgive me as I'm new at this. It looks like the scoring has changed from the first round, correct? Is there a key to the new scoring somewhere?

I thought spot on = 3 points etc

where did the 12 come from?  And the 8?  What does it mean?  Pls I know I'm annoying explain it like I'm 5.

That would be your win/loss record from the seeding round, and it really doesn't mean anything anymore.

My mistake.  My copy/paste skills are diminishing.

You are correct.  This and all subsequent rounds will be scored as follows.

7. Your score will be tallied based on the sum of the points awarded for the grades assigned each book based on the chart below:

 

Spot on= 20 points

.2 or closer = 18 points

.5 or closer= 15 points

.7 or closer= 10 points

1 or closer = 7 points.

1.2 or closer= 5 points.

1.5 or closer= 2 points

2 or closer = 0 points

Over 2 grades off= Technical Foul -5 points

 

 

Bonus (cumulative):

2 books spot on= 5 points

3 books spot on=10 points

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing.  CGC is usually tough on stains but apparently not this time, I had it at 6.5 I think although it looks higher at first. I over estimated what they would take off for that stain.

Since it's Aquaman and he's a water based hero water stains not marked down as much!
