Wild Frontier  #1

Here's  a nice  obscure   Charlton  title,   cashing in on the Davy  Crockett   mania of the 1950's.
Eventually   changes  to  The Cheyenne  Kid

This one is miscut,  and  had  several  leaves that  weren't  trimmed  properly  and  our  heroic  little
nine year old  busted  them  open  with his  thumb,  lol

That means  there are six pages  with  either  rough  outer  edges  or  good  sized  tears,   two of which  get into  the art.
Interior is  otherwise fine,  tight  with  white  pages, Cover  has  plenty  of general  wear plus  the miscut, a touch of  spine
roll  rounds things out

Asking $15  for  a Fifties  oddball

The Vault of Horror 23

Plenty of small bits out  RH  edge FC,  small corner off upper  LH  BC, some general  wear.  Tight  spine  and  CF,
supple  cream pages,   small  stain  lower  edge page 1,  touches  the  bottom   edge  of  the panel.

EDIT:   small  piece  of  tape  lower  spine

Nice  reader,   maybe  a  hair  better.  Parade of  Pleasure  book.

Asking  $60

Blazing Comics 6 (Indicia  says  V2 #3)

Small  chips  out  upper  and  lower  spine,   touch of spine/stacking roll,   some  general  wear including  dogears
lower  RH FC.  Spine  and  CF  are  tight,  offwhite  pages,   couple  small  tears  interior. Couple  water  spots
FC  center.

Here's  where it  gets  weird:  The  cover  is  leftover  from  1945,  with   our  heroic  red  skinned  warrior
attacking  a  nest of  Japanese  machine gunners,  armed  with nothing  but  a  knife!  Exciting  stuff!

But  the interior  is  a  remaindered  copy  of  Will  Rogers,  but  doesn't  appear  to  match  up  with either of
the Fox  issues,  GCD  lists  two  issues  of  Will  Rogers  Western  Comics  from  Streamline,  but has  no
info  on  either,  and  no further  information or  scans.  Finally,  the last  two  pages  are  blank, go figure.

Either  these  are  remaindered  contents  from  the  mystery titles,. or  somebody   pasted up  an  interior
from  who  knows  where.

Buy it  for  the   great  WWII  cover,  keep  it  for  the  research opportunities!

Asking  $50  SOLD!

Planet Comics 48

OBOY!  Giant  Robot  cover!

Little  indent in  the "N"  in  the logo,   some   color  chipping  off  RH  edge FC, staples  are offset  a  quarter inch
into  the FC. Otherwise  general  wear,   tight  spine  and  CF,  small  corner off  lower  LH BC,  small tear on interior
page,  barely  brushes  the  edge of one panel.

Nice  tight  copy  with offwhite  pages.

Asking  $250  SOLD!  per PM

I  can't  make  my  mind up  whether this  is  a  "graytone"  cover  or not.  DC  did  do  a  few  graytones on   humor
books, but I'm  not  quite convinced  this is one of them.

Chip lower  edge  LH  FC, ink  name  upper FC,   some  general  wear,   store  stamp  lower FC
Tight  copy with white pages

Asking $30

Eighty Page Giant 8

More  Secret Origins!

Looks  great,  flat,  square,  glossy, tight with white  pages,  but  there's a line of  discoloration  about  a half inch  wide or better
along  the  spine  on  the  BC, many  light  brown  spots.  Either  light  staining  or  foxing,  Otherwise  a  very  pretty  copy,

Asking  $100

Who's looking  for  early  Fox  books?

Green  Mask 5

Small  tear  with chip  lower RH BC, quarter inch  tear  LH  edge  BC

Other  than that  there  just isn't  much  wrong with this  copy.   Flat,   clean,   tight  spine  and  CF  on the  single  staple,
white  pages with one  small  tear  on  an interior leaf, doesn't touch  the  art.

A  beautiful  copy  for  $200

Showcase 9

Superman's  Girlfriend  Lois  Lane

Here's  the start,   Lois' first   lead.   Two issues in  Showcase  and  off  she  went
to  her  own  title.

Tear upper  edge FC,   split  lower  spine,   plenty  of  general  wear,  and light  large  water  stains  along  spine  and  both
upper  and  lower  edges. Lower  staple  rusty  with  a  bit  of  migration.

All of  that  and  the  colors  still pop,  there's  still  good  gloss,  and  the  spine  and  CF  are  both  tight,   interior is nice  with
white pages.   Could  use  a press,  it's  got  just  a touch  of  waviness.

Overstreet G  is  $660,   take  this  copy for $450

Batman Adventures 12

Here   you go,   first  Harley Quinn,  and a nice copy.

I  count  five  stress   marks along  the spine,  and  two or  three of  those  would
press out.  The  other two  definitely  break  color,  but  would  still  improve  a  bit.  If it doesn't sell  here
off it goes  for  a  press  and  a  slab.

Otherwise  flat,  clean,  glossy,  a very  pretty  copy,

EDIT  One  eagle eyed  viewer  looked it over  and  spotted  something  I  missed.
Just  above  Ivy's  shoulder,   RH  edge,  there's  a  slight  lightening  of  the  view.

Looks  like  a  bad  strike on  the  blue  in hand,  but  after  taking  a  300 DPI  scan  and  blowing it up,
it  looks more like  a   light,   slightly  smudgy  fingerprint  to  me.

See  the  scan  below,.    dropping  the  price.

Asking  $450

Now  $375 SOLD!
