Right when you get to the cap page you will see

The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.

click the listing and it should bring you back to the Cap 1 page.

it's ebay's annoying way to sell their current items

There were 14 bidders that bid $130K or more on the Action #1. I doubt that they all have nice coverless copies. I suspect that there are just a lot of folks that want an Action #1. It may have some resto, and need a centerfold, but it's still an attractive entry level Action #1 IMO. Congrats to the winner.

By comparison, although the Cap #1 finished higher, it only had 7 bidders at $130K or more. Cap #1 is a great book as well, but it's not an Action #1.

It looks like there were a couple of retractions, and it looks like Sparkle City did a good job of cancelling bids from some questionable parties. I'm not sure what your response has to do with my comment. What am I missing?

Nice !  Final Hammer ?  What was the resto ??

You need to go to the completed or to the sold items on ebay and to filter appropiately. There you have the item with pics (FC & BC) and full item description ($9,100).

Beautiful cover illustration! ?

Well, since I'm at it:

"Action Comics #2 2nd Superman Ever 1.0 Fair COMPLETE Golden Age Comic Book Key

Sparkle City Comics is proud to offer this AUTHENTIC AND ORIGINAL Action Comics #2. This is not a reprint or anything other than the genuine article. This Action #2 presents very beautifully!

This book is in approximate 1.0 FAIR condition and has cream to off-white pages. This book does have some slight professional restoration, including tear seals, color touch, pieces added and tape. All the pages have pieces added to them but it does NOT affect the story and the book doesn't have staples."

Yeah, it looks better, I took a chance, I expect it to come back 1.5 or maybe 2.0 mod/ ext resto.

I missed a chance a few years ago to pick up Carbo's 4.5 Mod or ext I think it was for $10k and regretted it ever since.

Not sure whether to give it Matt for improvement until I see it...hopefully he'll be at the next show I'm at to get his opinion...

he has my Cap # 1  as it is.

Probably a bargain price for this book   It's a really good story and a rare issue.  I let my complete moderate restored copy go to a self-ID'd collector and regretted it almost immediately, then more so after I saw it magically reappeared with a label that said slight resto and 3 grades higher.

As a note!

The Captain America Comics #1 solid in the auction had sold previously, by Sparkle city, on eBay, in 2012 for $71,100.

Before that it sold for $23,500 in July of 2010

Do you have a link to the auction and what did it sell for this time?  hm  (thumbsu
