Booster blasts Superman with his lakers (???), catching the Man of Steel of (???) guard. While he's down, Booster begins continuously punching Superman, and doesn't let up. Superman, still reeling from each blow, doesn't have enough time to react.

I always found it annoying that Bagley did 5 straight covers on ASM that were all very similar. Sure it was planned but I don’t get it

I had to back through this thread to make sure these weren't posted. I never cared much for either of these issues, despite their significance, because they're just about the same thing.

I imagine if we looks across the history of comics (especially since multi-issue storylines became the norm) we'd find a lot of examples of 2 characters fighting each other and then fighting together on subsequent covers.
