 I wrote about this in the GA keeper thread. But this is a book I've wanted since I first saw one long ago. I had passed on many copies because it was either bad timing or the copy didn't present how I wanted it to. 

This book was offered here on the boards and I went for it. It didn't disappoint. The colors jump off the cover and I'm pretty pumped to add it to the collection.

That Spiderman in the bottom left was the first Spiderman book I ever read. I think I was 6 or 7 years old

I had that book and re read it till the cover fell off and pages came unglued from the binding

Those books are how I grew to love Spidey as a kid (pre-collecting). I only have one left and it's so beat.

First, hit a sale, bought a bunch of fairly inexpensive books:

Next - last year for Father's Day, my wife and kids got me a "Cowabundle" from Kevin Eastman's store. It's 6 Vol 1 Mirage TMNT books (1 of which is signed) and 6 TMNT Adventures books. It was an awesome gift, and I got some cool stuff. Right after I got it, I saw it was sold out on the website. Recently, I saw they were back in stock, so I decided to get one for myself. It's $54 after shipping costs for 12 books, so I figured it was a good deal.

I thought I might get some doubles from when I got it last year, and I was right. Based on the doubles, I don't think I'd do it again, but I think it was still worth it based on what I got. If I'd never gotten one before, it would be 1000% worth it. Here's what I got this time:

This was a nice surprise - the later issues (series' last issue was 62) had fairly low print runs. First appearance of Shadow Jones as a baby.

 

Happy to get this one too as I didn't have it - first appearance of Mondo Gecko

It's definitely on my "If I could only have five comics" list. Not sure I'd ever have one quite that nice though, I mean wow.

yeah I'd be content to just have it. as long as it presents well in low grade

My haul from the Heroes con in NC. Had an awesome time and met some great folks. Picked up books that I needed and one in particular that has eluded me until now! I have more con pics posted over in the events section.
