I think I remember reading in one of my comic history books (The Ten-Cent Plague?) the figure mentioned by CDNP was based on a belief at the time that a kid who bought a comic shared it with, on average, ten other kids. So, 600,000 sold comics meant 6,000,000 readers...or something like that.

Awesome. I've often wondered how some finds like that you have the room to spare in the vehicle to cart it off lol or was it not a random yard sale?
