If a presser doesnt really know what they are doing can their feeble efforts be fixed or is it sometimes hasta la vista for the book?

What causes wavy pages after a press?

too much moisture during the pressing.

As far as fixing, depends on what they messed up.  Tears by the staples can't be fixed nor can depressed staples but fortunately CGC doesn't downgrade for it.  lol

Someone said too hot can cause waviness.  Or not allowing to sit in press after pressing long enough.

No I was just asking cause a buddy got a bad press and I wondered what are the options when someone inflates their skill level then ruins a book.

Short answer is yes.

Things that cannot be fixed: popped staples, tears, burning of paper, shrinkage, color loss, tears, etc.

Aw, come on Joey, you're being modest. I've seen you perform some miracles on a few of the books I've sent you.
