The realized drop in prices is in no surprise to me at all. This is what's expected.  Because of the huge gain of GA books, I expected some breathing room.  Similar to how SA books are now

Also the 1.8 Bat 1 really had a difficult time topping 100k. New owner should be happy.

Not all books went low. I was eyeing the AC 19 6.0 A-3 thinking it could be had for around 3k. Went for over 5k. Kinda steep.

For some reason this .5 ped went pretty high. No back cover, but a gorgeous front cover.

I suspect some books would have went for more if the Calvin and Hobbes strips didn’t gobble up all their money earlier

Some Promise books almost hit their former highs (haven't seen any exceed), some...not so much. 

Detective 116: $13,200 to $3,840

Detective 120: $40,800 to $16,200

Detective 126: $43,200 to $7,800

The beating isn't the crazy part. The initial prices are (and were at the time). It was unreal watching it unfold.

I was watching the Sensation 5, there are only 18 copies on the census...it's so hard to value them because there just aren't a lot around.

I am still wondering if the Promise books are a quick flip or a non-payment situation.  I can’t imagine someone taking this type of bath on these books.  So is the original underbidder in the hospital from injuring their back from doing a cartwheel?

Was wondering why so many Promise books were all in one auction myself.

Yes, under bidder doing cartwheels. e.g. Capt. America 1 Promise Cgc 3.5 down to $168k, FF 1 Cgc 8.5 down to $117k including the juice. Same copy of FF #1 sold for $240k last June 2022.

The Promise books took a bath.  Some relatively rare books, on the other hand, did quite well.  For example, the 9.0 More Fun 10 and 6.0 Zip 22 each went for $20K, and the mid-grade Big Book of Comics went for $15K.
