Where's the WW 1 Solicitation Copy and ashcan?  They should be next to those two!

I think they only bought those two. They chose not to buy the WW 1 9.0 when all 3 were offered on ebay. At least I have never seen it mentioned on their site.

btw the books are NOT sold (even though they are indicated as such ) : they are both available for anyone interested. Asking prices however are

iirc they wanted 2 Mil for the AS8

Beautiful book!  Those corners are sharp!

Wonder what it have graded at if there had been no erasure of the "C"[?] right of the issue number.  Does that erasure mark it down more than the slight (seems cleaned) dust shadow upper right?  To my eyes, I'd say yes.

It's like they hired an outside firm to do it- like they didn't know what the CGC label really looked like (or what a 9.2 Detective #27 looks like )

Poking around, it looks like the above was mocked up using the Heritage CGC 8.0. It's been trimmed and cleaned up in Photoshop, but the dust shadow is the same.

It was also shrunk, destroying the proportions, to fit into the space taken up by a modern in the holder.
