When the music stopped I was left holding the book. Now I have to decide if the writing is a part of history or a distraction?

Part of the history! There's a thread about the Recil Macon collection somewhere - very cool! If you don't want it, I'm sure I could find a nice home for it. Say in my basement. thumbsup2.gif

Unfortunately, I can't change the title to "Good Girl Art" anymore.

The book is structrally sound and has good eye appeal. However, it does have a huge stain on the inside cover, and a 1/2" hole in one of the inside pages. That being said, I'm happy with the $130 sale price.

Is that #5 an upgrade? Interested in selling the old copy?

Actually it isn't. This is my first copy of this book. I'm still missing the #4 cover.

My favorite of the jungle themed "Fight Comics" covers:

I purchased the above books at guide value from Lee'sComics and was pleased with the grades. For instance, the #147 was listed as VG ($34), but it's more like FN in my opinion......no tears, creases, etc. I felt the same way about the Seven Seas #5 purchase from them, which was also only listed at VG guide value.

You're enjoying this, aren't you? Honestly, all these look great and it seems they were tightly graded. Must've made your day. 893applaud-thumb.gif I'll find a copy of 147 some time. It's plain odd that it's the last Fiction House book I need but I generally see the ones around it or the March issue from 1951.

27_laughing.gif No need for that much excitement. No, that's the only March 1952 (my mindless task) Fiction House I am missing. I do have the issues of Cowgirl Romances, Fight Comics, Firehair Comics, Ghost, Indians, Jet Aces, Jumbo Comics, Ka'a'nga Comics, Long Bow, Planet Comics, Rangers Comics, Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, Spirit, Wambi the Jungle Boy and Wing Comics but the Jungle is the one eluding me.
