But that Jumbo... wow. It took everything not to give it a higher grade. Soooooo glad I got that one!

I was SO loaded for bear if Jumbo came back higher...

My oldest son got a 1490 on his SAT and a 31 on his ACT.

here's my Conan 1 it's an 8.0 no way that Conan is a 7.5, I gave it a 6.5

Learned my lesson after round 1 about the INC grade! I thought it could be GLOD  & therefore a 3.5 or so! If I knew it was only Blue label I woulda had my first Bullseye! 

I can't believe I got that Jumbo right!!!

I have a stack for just that amigo.  Last time was in 2001 (only submitted twice).

Tell me - can I have them sent back to me directly (in the US) after grading, or must it take a 2-way trip to that wretched den of politeness to the North?

I actually bought this book as a 9.0.  Well, the seller priced it as a 9.2, I figured it'd grade out at a 9.0 and I'd still be able to make something off of it.  

I took it out of the bag to inspect it, but didn't open the book very far.  Didn't need to as it was so sharp.  Yeah, the paper quality wasn't anything to like, but the book was sharp from every angle.

Subbed it as soon as I got back to my shop.  I was 'floored' to see it was a 2.0.  Then I saw Brittle Pages and multiple pages split and detached.    Makes me wish I opened that book a tad bit further and discovered the massive defects.

Anyway, I thought this would be a wild book to include in the contest.  I mean, how do you grade this flaw?  RMA was right, it's a flaw that is right up there with INCOMPLETE, but not quite as bad as a 0.5.  So, a book that presents like a 9.0 with this flaw, loses 7 full grades.  Wow! Interesting, right?
