This is a great cel! I remember seeing this cartoon at Disney World many times in the Animation Art area of Hollywood (Disney/MGM) Studios. Robin Williams and Walter Cronkite.

These were probably my three favorite buys.  The Batman 121 was the biggest in terms of money spent, but one that had been on my radar for a few years.  Apologies for any glares.  So many great books and OA in this thread.

1. This is a very personal one for me. Ever since I bought my first issue of Boy Comics back in 2008, I've loved the series, and the main character, Crimebuster. And I always wished it had continued. Since the character and title are public domain, I decided i should just do the next issue myself! Well, easier said than done. But after years of development and a couple false starts, earlier this year I finally self-published my first comic, The Crimebusters, which is a continuation of Boy Comics picking up the continuity where that series ended with #119 in 1956. Holding a copy of the Boy Comics #120 variant in my hand was one of my biggest comic related thrills ever!

 

2. And of course, there's this! I finally landed a reasonably priced copy of Boy Comics #4 - which is the last issue I needed to complete the run!

 

3. Finally, this was very unexpected and totally awesome. A few years ago I really got into Doctor Strange and started putting together a complete run. I was able to get Strange Tales #134-up - including Doctor Strange #169-183, Marvel Feature #1, Marvel Premiere #3-14, Doctor Strange vol 2 #1-81, and Strange Tales vol 2 #1-19. But thanks to the run up before the film, I missed out on getting an affordable copy of his first appearance in Strange Tales #110. So I kind of gave up. Well, the hunt is back on because I found a copy of Strange Tales #110 at a show two weeks ago - and the dealer only asked $10 for it!

Man there are alot of big dogs in this place.  I am amazed at the books around here, you guys are truly inspirational.  I dont see any other message boards holding a candle to the quality of books like we have here.

I went back and forth on this, revisiting my honorable mentions as I kind of would like to pick three different titles, but I can't kick either of these original owner Batmans out of the top 3.

Thank you; it's a sweet presentation in-hand, though the slight tear middle bottom (8 of diamonds) would hold back the technical grade a bit.
