Popular Post pmpknface
I think this one falls in here. I don't have many of these, but it's a Cole cover so I'm in! Darwination, Jayman, Flex Mentallo and 2 others

I'll have to scan them next. I just looked up the covers for 1 & 2. AWESOME! I'm on the hunt!!!
Darwination
And four issues of Man's True Action and four issues of Man's Daring Adventures, any others?
Darwination
Looks like Cole was the editor of Epic through the end of 1958 working for Arthur Bernhard (who did a lot of the sleazy digests and true crime magazines Douglas seems to like, Howell Dodd was at Skye in this period, too). I imagine it's possible you could find other Cole covers on some of the Skye pubs of that era. I see he also edited Valor for Men for Skye starting mid-1958 for a couple issues, but I don't see any of his signed covers there. Possible he's got some art work in those mags if they were pressed for deadlines or he felt like it. A lot of former big name goldenagers like Matt Baker were hard up for work and working for mag publishers in those couple of years after the comics crash any place they could get it, and the magazines were doing far better than the comics... Popular Post Darwination
Lol, the attack animals just crack me up. At least the moray eels seem dangerous. This Zappa related issue sold on eBay tonight for 457.55. I love how the cute critters are streaming in from the sides, too. That one was a bit of a surprise in the hammer, but I admit I haven't watched it often. More of a surprise was a companion mag from the Timely Atlas line. KILLER ANTEATERS. I skipped out on the action on the pricey (but awesome) sweat mags but did nab a 3 dollar true crime mag with an early Jim Thompson article (and prolly should have hit a couple others in there) I actually already have (and scanned) a copy, but I figured I'd grab another since I'm a Thompson freak. https://archive.org/details/master-detective-v-20n-01-1939-03.-macfadden-now-c-2c-d-m-ia Flex Mentallo, lbcolefan, Randall Dowling and 3 others

Darwination
Flying Rodents Ripped My Flesh must surely be a classic in the genre I don't think I could even start to unravel the whole ball of male neuroses on display in these magazines. The fear of being attacked by small animals? What? Flex Mentallo and Randall Dowling 1
