Popular Post Joshua33
I think there is another thread that created the same guidelines just a week ago, but I'll bite. My three faves or the year (I believe the other was decade) are... also, I think my nickname in the comic community of "55" might be appropriate. 🤪 Edited December 19, 2019 by Joshua33 Pic batman_fan, PeterPark, Mr. Lady Luck and 12 others
Joshua33
And @SuperGrover took my Amazing Ghost Stories 14 in 5.5, or it would have been in the 3.
Popular Post OtherEric
My three best pickups of 2019. Coincidentally, one comic, one paperback, and one pulp. All the major auctions are done for the year, plus i'm off, with nothing else to do today so why not? Hope to see IG superstars @JimButlerGA and @Markentoth in here among MANY others, king @Ricksneatstuff and maybe a surprise visit from @Sqeggs Hope everyone had a great 2019 collecting wise, here's to an even better 2020! I'm going to break my 3 into blocks, and since i'm the OP, i'm going to post a bonus #4 too Feel free to break the rules also Bear with me. In reverse order :Pick #3 Special Comics #1 (aka Hangman Comics #1) Been after this overlooked MLJ key for years. Finally landed a copy this year. My thread from last year was YEAR IN REVIEW, What's New In Your Collection? (here's the link to that one)... https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/443570-year-in-review-whats-new-in-your-collection/?do=findComment&comment=10477427 BTW, the original idea attribution should go to Mitchell Mehdy who deserves mention for contributing annual reviews several years ago covering a wide array of comic topics including best books of the year. I meant to start a thread in early December as last year, but my concentration has been directed elsewhere as some of you know. If I decide to do one this year, it'll be with a slightly different emphasis. You're more than welcome to grab the Torch, but please observe caution handling as not to burn yourself, ...speaking of which, this would apply to first two of my top three comic acquisitions for your thread: Guess that would be called a Schomburg trifecta. Oh, wait a minute, that's a different thread! pmpknface, Joshua33, Ricksneatstuff and 4 others

Popular Post Readcomix
@sagii Flagged me that he would be starting this thread in GA after he saw me post in the similar one in Comics General, so I guess I'm cross-posting as my favorite three books acquired this year are all GA. Thanks Corey! As I said over there, I hemmed and hawed over my honorable mentions because I would like to name three different titles, but I just can't kick either of these two original owner Batmans out of the mix. Popular Post AJD
Wow, talk about a tough act to follow... Here are my three - two of which are not in hand yet! First up is a book I've wanted in my war bonds collection forever, but for some reason had never found in the right eye appeal/$ ratio. The second is my favourite Australian GA book for this year. I wasn't so fussed on this one when bidding on it, but boy has it grown on me! Finally, with this one I finished my collection of WDC&S with Carl Barks stories. And for the rule-bending "honourable mention", this one finished my EC New Direction set. Readcomix, porcupine48, sagii and 5 others 7
