Popular Post Dikko
Three of my newly graded and encapsulated AUSTRALIAN version of STRANGE ADVENTURES. NOTE: CGC labelled STRANGE ADVENTURES No. 32 (Aust. Ed) as House of Mystery #53 due to its cover image, against my specific request that the label be titled Strange Adventures (which is clearly labelled on the cover). Also, I am not happy with the glare on the left of each image, since I do pay $5 per image. zzutak
Sweet copies! A wonderful collecting adventure, for sure. I've really enjoyed following your progress. CGC's policy on the labeling of "foreign editions" has varied over the years. The current policy is stated here: The labeling of this particular multi-book submission (#4411309) conforms to CGC's current policy, as stated above (which is probably the best any of us can expect). That being said, it's a policy many collectors have griped about (see this 24-page thread). If you're being charged $5 for imaging, you should definitely contact Accounting or Customer Service, as that service became free to all submitters as of 08-03-2023! Most of the CGC-generated images I've seen have varying amounts of glare -- enough that I always feel compelled to rescan my own freshly encapsulated books. Popular Post Dikko
Three more Australian issues of STRANGE ADVENTURES. I have had 10 issues graded etc recently. Will show the remaining 4 soon. And YES, I am aware of the change in policy regarding Foreign editions. hchill25, zzutak, buttock and 3 others
Popular Post Dikko
The final four CGC graded STRANGE ADVENTURES Australian edition (for the moment - more next year) are shown here. I am particularly please with the Grades of 7.5 and 7.0 since it is very difficult to find good quality comics from this era in Australia, and also since they were printed on cheap newsprint paper and b/w inside. Popular Post LDarkseid1
Well my fellow gents, of the large raw mid to high grade Strange Adventures run I bought from an original owner collection years ago, I have two books left. I got them all graded of course back in the day. And of those two, I’m letting my favorite issue, #2 sell in the August comiclink auction. I utterly love the cover to this book, and despite being a CGC 9.0 and tied for highest graded, I personally think it presents even better. The spine is literally flawless! Anyway, not all things were meant to last and it’s time to say goodbye. I’m sure it will go to a great home 😫. Dikko
Interestingly, I am currently getting the Australian version of this Strange Adventures comic [US #70] graded etc by CGC. Even though it is the same cover image, there are again notable differences. In the Australian cover, the men are wearing Blue trousers, the machine is faded blueish colour and the title box is straightened and moved above the scientist's hand. Keen to see how it goes in grading. buttock, Topnotchman and OtherEric
OtherEric
In today. While I've got a lot of them, I'm missing a disproportionate number of the Gorilla covers in the 23 (22 now) issues I still need for the run: Topnotchman, hchill25 and frozentundraguy
Popular Post Tri-Color Brian
Picked this up last week at a local shop. I wasn't going to buy any more of the later issues, but this cover just grabbed me. Now I have 152 issues...
