It's a 9.6...generally a 9.8 is almost 3× the value of a 9.6, so I don't think it is really coming back down to earth

The reason this went for less is the seller started at $1300 and thus attracted less people to bid. I do not understand why sellers keep doing that, it is a big mistake especially with a book like ASM 300.

There should only be 2 strategies when doing an auction on ebay, start at $1 or start at a high enough price where if you only get 1 bid you will be happy. Never start in between that.
