Grade is in! Fantastic Four 52....how big a hit for subscription fold? 3 3

Thanks in advance. Going to send in eventually but wondering about that subscription fold. Obviously going to get pressed but i'm sure won't help much for that.

I have a few similar vintage books in similar condition with the subscription crease.

Can I ask for opinions what this this FF #52 would grade without the subscription crease?

I always wondered how much of a ding the crease has on the grade, for this range of condition.

with a sub fold one usually gets a VG or sometimes a VG +

I have no problem with 4.5 on this...

The sub fold does knock it down in the vg range. It looks to be a solid 5.0 or a little better if not for that.

I think I am too.

I had an ASM 31 that was pristine, except for a massive diagonal crease from top left to about mid right of the cover.

Sold it as a 6.0 on eBay raw.

The guy who bought it from me submitted it to CGC. It came back as a 6.0. Whew.

So in general, I'd say 6.0 is the highest for a book with a big crease.

This book has other minor issues... so maybe a 5.0? Still a dang nice part of your mighty Marvel stash.

I have not seen a book with a complete vertical subscription crease grade higher than a 6.0

with this said, I can see it grading at 5.0

In my experience, a subscription fold is automatically a 4.5.

My X-Men 10 with a subscription fold recently came back 4.5 so there may be something there.
