He deserves the wonderful collection.    All those books bought 40-50 years ago and never sold.   The Mystic 1 that he paid $1k for at $4/hr in work trade.    Those are amazing stories and show how much and how long he's loved comics.   Well deserved!

One of the nicest guys in the biz. This past summer at the con in Charlotte, I was browsing at the Bedrock booth when I realized that I had misplaced a bag of books (actually, my wife misplaced them! :whatthe:) and as I was in mid meltdown, Richard couldn't have been nicer or more concerned. He was a big help in keeping me calmed down. Long story short, the books were recovered. One of which was a book that had eluded me for years. It wasn't super expensive, but there were a couple of costly pre code horror comics in the bag, also. I came back to Richard's booth just to let him know that the books were found and ended up buying a book from him, as well. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Only a tiny portion were.

Much to my continual annoyance, he remains an active buyer with a highly discerning eye for quality books. :(

The rumors of "cat" herding is vastly overstated and greatly embellished.  I never did any of this when competing for books. :whistle:
