one time I was at casino and I bet $1 and won $85 dollars.  My friend was dismayed he said if you had bett the max you would have won $600!
I had to explain that slot machines generate around 2000 numbers per second so no, I would not have.  If you leave a machine and someone wins a big jack pot, that would NOT have been 'your jackpot'.  Not even close.
