Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

MCS I do understand as that makes good sense fiscally, however based on your post not clear on why you would use Heritage and not Comiclink.  Additional cost per $100 is much less on CL.  Heritage collects tax and they factor it in after their nasty 20% buyers premium.

I still stay with Clink.  Heritage can allow me to pay four monthly payments if I win over $2500. I must let them know in advance before I will bid.  It goes same thing with Clink.  I like Clink way by paying early to save some money from the buyer's premium fee but Heritage doesn't.  Heritage sometimes has the books I am looking for a long time.  Yes, it's tough with Heritage's fees but I wanted the books badly.  No win-win situations.

I haven't bought a single book from Heritage since the end of 2018.   Right now, I am still buying books from MCS by paying them via Chase QuickPay (Zelle) or sending the checks to waive the buyer's premium fee.

It's always tough to find a way to save money.

Last sold in April 2022 for $432k.    The below price include the premium.   I am also tracking all of these in the Six Figure Club post......

Beat me to it! This same book sold for $320K in 2021.  The premium goes to Comic Connect right?  So the seller would only net $292K here?

it has been said before - Comic Connect is by far the hardest to track/watch what is happening.    At least CL leaves full results up for anyone to see - bidder or not - for the duration of the auction.

But even the formatting of bid history is really hard to tell what is what when you are searching......it offers no indication of issue or grade or even a clear date......

And I hate the CC doesn't actually open a new window when you click on a listing.    All maddening......

That looks like your bid history.  The Watch List is a drop down under the My Account button, to the right of Contact Us.  For some reason it is not part of your Dashboard.  Looks like this.

I agree that the site is maddening though.  The pages timing out is what I hate the most.

They've improved things immensely lately.

Just hit the Search Sold Items button on the Advance search option.

Ahh….thank you.   I am most often trolling on an iPad and that watch list history option isn’t visible until I hold iPad horizontally.    Much better….

Yes, definitely not ideal for short term comparison purposes that they move the results over to their archive section right immediately after the auction for each individual lot has ended which does indeed make it difficult to track.  :frown:

Then again, it's in their auction archives for longer term historical tracking purposes for each individual book similar to the Heritage archives, whereas the history is basically lost for CL books once the entire auction is over.  :frustrated:  :censored:

Well, the only problem is that as far as I can tell, your Watch List items are gone once the auction for each of your Watch List item has ended.  :frustrated:

They are still there.

They just move from Active Items to Sold Items.  This is one feature that I think works well on CC.

The price on this book I was tracking in the latest CL auction seems crazy strong to me...not sure if I'm missing anything?

image.png.b1a7b3e88ed79ae964997c0cc774c8b9.png

Last sale was $720 in 2021.  Last 8.5 sold for $274 in Dec 2022.  Last 9.2 sold for $663 in Dec 2022.

I don't see anything that would warrant such a price.

A 9.4 did sell for $1800 in Jan 2022.  I guess if that is your only price reference you might pay $1350 for this book.

There are also not many sales of this book overall in the GPA, so maybe there was some FOMO?

Joeyoung, that’s a lot of books you’ve sold!

Those Western Ghost Riders from 1967 sure sold for a high price on ComicLink! Mercy,  I tried chasing but was left in the dust early on.  Would have loved to own that #2 that sold for $1,500.
