Urban Legend says that food donated to African nations was usually packaged so that the locals would know what is inside.  Many starving people were illiterate, and even if they could read, they might not be able to read English.  A can of tomatoes would show a picture of tomatoes, etc.  They were evidently not big fans of Gerber products, starving or not.

Those appear to be re-branded Comic Care products, which are the polybags and boards that Diamond distributes, and which I believe is also owned by Diamond.

I don't think they're rebranded.

It says Comic Care right on them.

Okay Chief, I didn't use terminology that was exacting enough. They have redesigned the packaging of Comic Care products.

Diamond combined Comic Care and Comic Defense System into the Comic Care brand, as they used them sell them separately but they owned both brands.

Yes... I have TONS of "suspicious activity" on accounts that I don't even have. All the caller needs to begin sorting the mess out is my social and card number .... so far I've resisted the temptation to give them my ex-wife's info  GOD BLESS...

The price of mylites and fullbacks right now is offensive.

Along with gas, meat, and just about every other consumer good.

So much for me retiring early - six years without a COLA, so I'll be sucking air until I reach 62.

Sure but this is a whole different ballpark.  Gerber's price sheet for a 50 pack of 775M2 is $14.  For a 50 pack of 750FB it's $13.  Put them together and that's $27.  But if you look at eBay or other sellers, the price is 3-4x those prices.  I know Gerber is having trouble getting product made but it's just a drag right now.

If people start cutting back/stop buying them they will lower their prices (eBay sellers).  I buy in bulk from eGerber and I now have a magazine sized short box filled with slightly used Silver Age 750 fullbacks and 775 mylars that I took comics out and put them in cheaper mylites to ship to CGC instead of including them when I have books graded.  Now I understand if someone wants these for personal books, but I think you get what I am saying.  Try to conserve and buy in bulk when you have the chance.

No need to get defensive, lol.

I just thought you didn't see the Comic Care logo on them is all.

And I'm way beyond Chief.

Per an email from Gerber today, they are no longer even taking orders on boards, and won't even be taking backorders on boards until February.

Current turnaround time on the mylars is 10-14 weeks and harshly limited to ration them out.
