Are there any Keys that are just 'Blah' to you?

Are there any key comicbooks out there that just don't do anything for you? Maybe it's the significance or the story. Maybe it's the cover or the artwork. Heck, you might own them but they just aren't your bag?

I recently got the Facsimile Ultimate Fallout 4. I have a slab but I've never read the story. I just did and I was underwhelmed. This is Miles' first appearance? Ok.

The first couple arcs of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (Miles) were great and I'm glad to have his first appearance, but the comic did nothing for me.

Many keys have that perfect combination of appearance, origin, art and cover. Many have some of the components. Many are driven by a good story and derive their significance from it (AS 96, GL/GA 85, Batman Year One, etc). Others are hurt by it.

Some examples.

I've had Marvel Spotlight 32 for years and years. Ok issue. I picked this issue up this past year. Love the cover. Cool issue 1. Disliked the story.

Great cover. I had the poster (with a green Hulk) on my wall as a teen. Everything inside is blah. Classic cover. Debatable if it's even a minor key.

Golden's art is pretty good. Cover stinks. Story is underwhelming. It's Avengers Annual 10 - 'nuff said.

I guess the more mega the key, the more it has going for it overall. It'll have that something that stands out compared to minor keys like the ones I've posted.

What about it? And are there any keys you've run across that have actually impressed you more than you imagined they would?

ST110.

That cover. Just.... no.

I dig it. There have been many keys in the past and currently that I will not consider just because of the cover.

I can think of Eternals 1 as a personal example.

I dumped NM98 as drek 15+ years ago because I was out of the hobby, I hated Liefeld and I thought the character was lame and not significant. Actually I didn't think about it at all. It was 90s drek.

That, some amateur restoration and a few tape pulls are probably some of my biggest mistakes in the hobby.

I'm keeping my youngblood #1!

Also X-Men Annual #14 / X-Men #266, mainly because I find Gambit a bit lame.

Never interested me either. X-Men Annual 14 was in my collection since publication because of Arthur Adams.

Love Conan.

Love Red Sonja.

Gil Kane is alright in my book.

Love that I have Red's first appearance in my collection.

Don't like the cover or story or her appearance within that story.

(Of course the next issue is magical.)

Not a Babbarian fan either?

As a book, the story and art, hulk 181 is blah.

That I respectfully disagree with.

Mostly. I was just thinking about IH 180. Except for the last panel it's blah.

IH 181 has all the components for me.

That typo was pointed out the other day in the Comic Mistakes thread. I had to pull my copy and mind blown.

Always been a big X-men fan.

But never cared for 94, 120, or 121.

Why 94?  Just enjoy GSXM 1 so much more and thought 94 was always overpriced.

Why 120/121?  Alpha Flight? Come on.

First MacFarlane on ASM. First cameo Venom.

ASM petered out after Kraven's Last Hunt. The story is lame and the covers too similar and repetitive. I can't remember which is 298 and which is 299 (I can but ol' Tod basically drew 2 covers for the first four issues of his run - see 300 and 301).
