Well here are my #1 and #2 pickups for 2021, was quite the year of Centaur for me , out pacing my usual fare of Ace and MLJ,  but oh what a Ace pick up

:golfclap:quite the year yourself my friend, amazing cross publisher pickups (and it runs in the family I see )

Onto 2022, I see two prospects coming up soon that could start my collecting year off with a bang, but if I learned one thing from @Robot Man while here, it's don't announce you're after it until you snag it (or something like that, lol)

Was just elated (and stunned) to hear that you weren't going to keep both copies of OF5, so took out the big boy pants, pressed them and put them on lol

Happy Hunting in 2022 buddy :wishluck:

This one coming in just under the wire.  I've wanted a copy like this for at least 15 years.  Anyone familiar with this book knows how hard it is to find without a dust shadow.  Metropolis had an 8.5 for years that was a whole lot cheaper than this one, but I wouldn't have been happy with it.

That is so true re the dust shadows on #18s. This is a stunner. Big congrats!

Somewhere, either online or possibly deep in the '1939 Newsstand' thread, there's an amazing 1942 photo of enlisted soldiers in a store of some sort where you can clearly see a fresh rack of this issue.

2021 was a year of lamentations for tabcom.

Equally painful were the declining health issues coupled with a comic book market accelerating beyond my reach. Therefore, I prefer to look back to the year 2020 one more time.

Indeed. Grab me a nice copy Joe. And while you are at it, the latest issue of Crime Does Not Pay while you are at it...

Thank you!  :applause: I couldn't find that photo but I figured someone here would be quick on the draw.

I think Denver is halfway between here and Houston.  Want to meet there?

I will meet you and Greg in Anchorage for the opportunity to look at your funnybooks.

But yes, Denver is much closer.
