Hulk Super Spinner (1978) Jotastar - Has Anyone Ever Seen One Before?
1 1

Once in a while I spot something on eBay that I haven't seen before and have a go at getting. I saw this one, not listed particularly well, and found that I couldn't find one reference anywhere online about it. That's quite unusual, to not find a single reference.

It's from Jotastar (the same people who made the famous card set 757205581_SpecialPowers10.thumb.PNG.ad6ce0ab0ed51966fa9ea1c5ff5ff0df.PNG), is dated 1978, and was made in Kong Hong, presumably for a song.

Can anyone find another reference to it?

Who's the toy expert around here?

Never seen one of those. I did have a period where I collected Batman toys and in fact any plastic tat that contained a Batman logo. The early days of Pound shops were a good source of weird wonders most likely unlicensed. Batgun anybody?? . There must still be a box in the attic with Batman jigsaws and unmade Batboat model etc.

Don't you think that's odd - not one online reference or picture to be found, and Jotastar being an established brand at the time?

Closest I can find is this, dated 1979:

Just found a picture of what looks like a Spidey one:

I definitely had spinners like those as a kid; but I have no idea if they were those particular designs.

You never!

I have not my friend.

Not sure I recognize the Spider-Man image either.

Arrgh! I do recognise it, and it's driving me insania. I can see it in my minds eye, Spidey crashing through a window or something....?

Triple-B will know it :wishluck: @bababooey

I have nothing to add except that I think this is cool, and I support further research. Vintage knock-off fire-starters strapped to flammable materials are exactly the kind of toys I enjoy most!
