Too long You should watch the whole thing, interviews with all the surviving original artists....BUT...you can start from 1:10 for the discussion of art returns, lost art, tossed art, and where the Trampier Handbook cover was discovered and almost lost. Popular Post nightbells
$5 in my totally rad squeeze coin purse. At a book fair in school, I purchased 2 books. For timing reference, there are Smurfette stamps on the inner covers! This was one of my favorite pages: At a convention several years ago, a former TSR artist and employee had that original piece. And I had a ... moment. The artist stated "My wife feels I should sell you the art. You seem really taken by it." So several decades after purchasing the book, at a convention in Lake Geneva celebrating the life and works of Gary Gygax, I became the curator of this original piece by Harry Quinn! comix4fun, Bronty, sckao and 8 others

christosgage
Some TSR art has survived. There's a store in Canada (The Beguiling, maybe?) that displays the original cover painting to DEITIES AND DEMIGODS. And a prominent OA collectors has the original cover to the first Monster Manual. I remember not being prepared for what it went for. Just looked it up to refresh my memory $15,000 in 2013. With scant top shelf material hitting the auction block at the time making a good prediction was difficult. It's a great piece.
