Working off the grading guides (heritage/overstreet), there's a line that specifically talks about a corner crease under the 8.0 grade ("An unnoticeable 1/4" crease is acceptable if color is not broken.") so I went with that. In looking at the scores on that book, seems a few others also followed the same standard. CGC seems to me more lenient with that specific type of defect. I saw a 8.0 no shiny cover. Star Wars #1 9.2. on this one I did change it from 9.0 TMT#1 8.5 I was going by the note of the slight fold on the cover I can't see how this is a 9.4 with a fold ? If CGC follows the overstreet grading standard, that TMNT is way overgraded. However, they seem to be more lenient on books with a single minor defect than strict overstreet guidelines.
