As a related note, one of the most interesting scenes I saw at WW:Boston was Mark Sparacio (one of the nicest artists in the business) and Lou Small talking shop about rendering with pencil.

I charge anywhere from $50 - $200 depending on the complexity. I do have criteria and limitations (I wont do certain things). Currently I only do pencil (graphite) work, as I have not fully developed an inking method that I am happy with.

 

Full color oil paintings is an entirely different animal and price bracket $$$$$
