Identifying Virgin Covers just by the picture.

Hey Everyone,

New to this, and I have started collecting some comics and buying some lots where they did not identify what book it was or who the artist was.  These are all modern comics ranging from Something is Killing the Children, to Vampirella, to some other ones here and there. I do not want to take these out of the board and bags and cause damage to the book, so I was wondering if anyone would want to play a fun game and try to identify which issues I have of virgin covers. If also willing, I have some books with signatures I need help identifying also. The COAs are with them but they are in cursive and like I said I am new to this and don't recognize some names.

If anyone wants to help, let me know! Or point me in the right direction if there is something like this already on the forum. Thank you!

Since you're new, it seems you need an introduction to one of the best comic book resources around: the GCD. There, you can see cover galleries (here is SIKTC), creator information (a good first step to identifying signatures), and much more.

Take them out of their bags to identify them.  It's easy to learn how to handle books and remove them from their storage bags without introducing any defects.  You can even read them without doing damage!

I was mostly going to try to make like a game of it if anyone wanted to help out. I know how to handle the comic books but I really don't want to if I don't have to. That's why I was just politely asking if anyone wanted to help. I'll post like 10 and we can go from there. All I'm looking for is issue number and artist mostly. The rest I can probably figure out from there. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps out! I really appreciate it. 

 

For Clarity, I know WHO the characters are that's not in question. I'm just looking for the information on the issue and artist so I can label them on the back and it helps me catalog them in my collection. Once again, thank you to anyone who helps me out!

There's a Carnage-ized version of this too, fyi.

Saw that after looking it up, love it. I have the InHyuk Lee 2nd printing of King in Black that I had slabbed of her Carnage-ized. Love these kinds of covers. Want to get the marching one of Gwenom by him but that is hard to find and expensive as hell. Thank you for the help!

No worries! Yeah, I like these too. Here's another nice one that's not too terribly expensive - Uncanny X-men 22 Jay Anacleto White Queen Carnage-ized (not my picture, I took it from online):

I am not sure on covers 2, 6, and 11.  You might want to look at the back cover, if they are store variants it might give you info there.  Also the splash page to get the issue info.  The 3 I couldn't find were not in a reverse image search (easily findable that is).
