Common ASM 265 Flaw

I was pulling out some books for display and noticed the following on my ASM 265

Under Spideys foot you can see a dark ring. One might assume it is a stain of some sort but it’s not. It actually matches up perfect with the circular image seen on the inside cover.

I checked eBay and some copies have this, others do not. Just thought I would shed light on a potential printing flaw that seems common and I wasn’t sure anyone had ever mentioned it before

It probably has something to do with how the book has been stored and how the paper is aging, allowing ink or imprints to be reflective on the opposite side of the page.

So, how would CGC view that—grade wise. Even a guess would help. Thanks.

Probably keeps from a 9.8. Otherwise if it is just a printing defect that’s common it might have no effect. The book as is VF+ without it so I doubt that mark changes much
