It lives! A new "unofficial" grading contest! Not a dream, not a hoax, not an imaginary tale! 

I've got 10 freshly CGC-graded books in my hands. I'll provide you with front and back raw scans for each book, and full grading notes. Take your best shot at guessing the CGC grades. Scoring is old-school as follows:

Bullseye = 5 points
1 grade off = 3 points
2 grades off = 1 point
3 or more grades off = -1 point.

(So remember, with this contest you want a HIGH score, not a LOW one!)  :makepoint: 

Also, as in previous years, @CGC Mike is more than welcome to play and enjoy a contest from the other side of the table. (Maybe I can come up with some stress-inducing emojis to torture him.)  hm

RULES (PLEASE READ!) :

-- **Post in this thread that you're "In" on this game. I'll take 45 contestants and no more; first come first serve.** I just don't have the bandwidth to score more than that. I encourage you to play along at home even if you miss the signup... you'll get a nice focused snapshot of CGC's current grading for books like these.

-- I'll post the books in four consecutive rounds. Thursday night (8/25), I will start a Round 1 thread and post scans for the first 3 books, and you'll have 48 hours to grade them, at which point the round will close and I'll post the reveals. Send me a PM with your grades (make the title "Grading Contest: [your username]") and I'll record them. Send just one PM with all of your grades and add to the thread for future rounds. No changing of grades.  

(Note: I ask that you do not use the CGC census in any way, shape or form, as IMO it goes against the spirit of the contest. By playing, you agree to this. Thanks.) :foryou:

-- The second round (2 books), third round (2 books) and fourth round (3 books) will follow, also with 48-hour turnarounds. Work & family life are a bit slamming for me and I may need to delay a round if unavoidable, but will do my best to keep things moving. (If possible, will get this wrapped up just before Labor Day weekend, when I imagine many folks will be traveling.)

The player with the highest score wins $20 Paypal from me. If there are ties for first place, the tying contestant with the highest number of bullseyes will be the winner. If there are *still* ties from there, we'll divvy up the prize between those with highest scores/most bullseyes. By playing, you agree to all that too.

This Friday 08/26/22 will mark the 1-year anniversary of my latest/last submission being delivered to CGC.  :cry:  Since I'm still waiting for my own books to be graded and returned ( :taptaptap: ), I'll have to live vicariously through you.  :grin:  Please count me in, Jon.  :foryou:

Is that 3.7 for the actual books plus 10.0 for the post production acetate covers?
