Grader Notes - why are a lot of new submission coming back without Grader Notes available? 1 1

I recently submitted several books through my LCS.  approximately 30.  I am a paid member of CGC.  Not one of my submissions have grader notes available?  Please explain how Grader notes work.  Thank you.

Unfortunately notes are given at the grader's discretion and it seems that CGC, in its attempt to "improve" turn-around times, probably leaves little time for notes.... Although, if your grades are in the 9.4 to 9.8 range it's common not to have notes.

What are the grades? If they're all above 9.0, this shouldn't be surprising.

Also if they are higher-grade modern tier (1975 and up), they almost never have grader's notes

This is normal.  Which makes the whole "grader's notes are now free!" announcement quite ho-hum.

Comic Book Grader

Responsibilities will include:

• Assessment of condition and quality of collectible comic books
• Identification of restoration
• Entry of grading data into computer system

 

So it's part of their responsibility unless they just see that typing in 0.5 to 9.8 as grading data.

In my opinion grader notes should be on everything below 9.8

Do not disagree with that. More often than not, I want to know what's keeping a 9.6 or 9.4 from being a 9.8.

I know I got a submission back of 8 books lately and the only ones that did not have grader's notes were the 9.6's. Highly disappointed. 100% agree!
