For many many years I would go to Chicago, back when it was the Chicago Con, then Wizard, then C2E2, etc. I've stopped going because it became too pricey and there weren't enough things I wanted there. Then I went to Planet Con in Kansas City. That was pretty good, but it has lost some of the good deals over the years. So I decided to try OAF Con. I am really happy I did. There were tons of older books, but there were a good mix of all types of comis. Prices were fair for the most part and there were also a lot of other things there that were just cool to see. I'll be going back next year for sure. I paid the extra $10 to get in early on Saturday and was happy I did. I got a good deal on one of my grails from Terry's Comics, which is a nice copy of American Splendor. I also got a nice Action 111. Later I picked up a good batch of Gangbuster from Bedrock. Got some Tomahawks and Star Spangled from various dealers. Picked up about 20 Four Colors that I need in my attempt to complete that run. Some of the cooler things I saw was an Action 1 puzzle that was complete and some color Popeye posters and art. Peter usually has to wait until the OU football schedule comes out, so he knows when the hotel will be available.
