Haven't decided on the website address yet. Maybe www.filtercomics.com? Anyone have any suggestions on a good name for a comic website? Anyway, with any luck the website will be up and running by sometime in early to mid December.

Filter that list of books is beyond impressive. The two Cap #1's are worth a small fortune.

 

Thanks! If I had been really smart I would've done this a year ago back when I had an inventory that would've rivaled anyone but Heritage and Metropolis. (I remember a year or so ago back when I had 9 CGCed Superman #1s.. I miss being able to say that.. 27_laughing.gif)

Are the complete runs going to be broken up and sold individually?

 

I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking I'll try together first and then if I'm unsucessful break them down and sell them separately. I put most of these runs together from scratch.. I think it would be a shame to break them back up again. I know they'll probably sell for more if separated which is probably ultimately what will happen. But if I can sell them at a fair price while keeping them intact that would be my first choice.

DO you take time payments? Also just curious, but what is the yellow ink variant?

 

Yes I have no problem taking time payments. The yellow Ink variant means that for some reason the cover was printed without any red ink. (Someone told me that when printing comic books yellow and orange ink are mixed together to make red, and on this book the orange ink wasn't added for some reason) From what I understand this is one of two known Captain America 1s that were printed with yellow instead of red ink. (I just picked this book up in trade from someone who owned both this 8.0 and the other yellow copy which is a 6.0) I listed the book on eBay once on consignment so I may still have a scan of it somewhere.

 

I hear there was a Fantastic Four 1 on eBay a few years ago where the cover was also yellow instead of red and it sold for 6x guide or somewhere around there. In this case the yellow ink variant seems to make the book more affordable than a typical 8.0 copy.

Prices and when does the site go up?

 

The site should be up within a month. Until the site goes up all prices are negociable. All Non-pedigrees will be priced below guide and most of the pedigrees will probably be anywhere from guide to guide + 10%.

Wowee, what a great list of books. I am soooo tempted to blow the Christmas spending budget and take a shot at one or two of these. Ach, dammit, too bad I've got a hot tub to pay off.
