posting this for the owner Ken Dyber

----------------------------------------------------------------

Comic store owner friends, Ken Dyber here.  Many of you know me from owning Cloud 9 Comics in Portland, OR, having a brick & mortar store here for the last 8 years, setting up at conventions around the country, selling on my website & Instagram, and being an Advisor to the Overstreet Price Guide for the last 15 years.

I don't want to say too much in case the perp reads this but wherever Ken is posting this announcement he really should include scans/pics of every book taken (especially any specific identification traits the books may have), because it will only take one identified book to trace to find the person responsible. Look back at the Pennyworth theft. He got lucky the thieves didn't do what they should have done before they attempted to cash in.

WTAF is going on with all these comic store robberies as of late

It's not like there's been a continual barrage of news stories about million dollar comic sales over the last 10 years.

Oh, wait...

Here he's trying to sell some of my books this past Wed at Starbucks to someone he contacted on Craigslist. I have recovered 30 of the 150 books he stole with the help of @seekerseyecomics & the police. He fled with these books, but we recovered 18 slabs in the White Honda van he drove there in.

My store was also broken into end of April (may have also been him). The 120 or so books still missing are a wide variety of Modern variants to Golden Age. Some of the expensive books still missing are (all raw's unless they say CGC):
All Famous Crime #8 5.5
AMZ #14 5.5
AMZ #31 CGC 5.5
Baffling Mysteries #16 5.5
Captain America #100 4.5
Famous Monsters of Filmland #1 3.5
Fight Against Crime #8 CGC 3.5
Hawkman #4 4.0
Incredible Hulk #340 CGC 9.8
Marvel Comics Super Special (Kiss) #1 8.0
Mytic #29 3.5
Planet Comics #50 5.0
Special Marvel Edition #15 CGC 9.2
Unseen #9 (pictured) 3.0
X-Men #129 9.4
2 boxes Pokemon & Magic boosters

Please spread the word to your LCS's & local Craigslist people (he contacted 2 different people via Craigslist locally here which is how I got some books back).

There are now 2 Police Reports: 23-193056 & 23-015567. I appreciate any help catching this jerk as my business is most likely going to lose its insurance with this being the 3rd robbery this year!

Thank you! Ken Dyber - owner - Tasteecat Comics - Portland, OR

Is the joke that they're wearing masks, or are those two people famous for something?

Got it! I had never heard of that series or those actors. (I don't watch much T.V.)

Me neither, but it's good comedy. Very well observed and well acted. A delight.
