The Monster Men by Edgar Rice Burroughs  Ace F-182   1963   $7  SOLD to mrlatko

This is the First paperback edition with a nice Frazetta Monster/Good Girl cover.

Very Good/Very Good Plus. Glossy, and lightly read. Has a couple of light creases on front, usual toning to pages and inside covers.  Still a collectible copy that can be read and priced accordingly.

Well, I planned to list some more tonight but I think I better just clean the thread up and let it rest. I have a ton more similar stuff to list throughout the weekend and if my hand slows me down I may extend the sale past the weekend if there continues to be interest. Thanks all for the takes, likes and comments. It's enjoyable to share here.

Going to get back with some really nice Science Fiction pbs...  In case anyone is wondering, many of these unread 50's books came to me in what I called the HiGrade collection, which I bought about 1000 books out of, including many glossy unread copies, some in multiples.

The Martian Way and Other Stories by Isaac Asimov   Signet S1433   1st PB, 1st Printing   September 1957         $25   SOLD to Tupenny Conan

Cover art by Richard Powers. An insane copy. Tough to find Signets with no creases.

Very Fine. Covers bright and glossy, obviously unread. Great off white page quality. Light toning to interior.  Traces of storage wear.  A condition rarity of a cool 1st PB for sure.

Pebble In The Sky by Isaac Asimov   Galaxy Science Fiction Novel No. 14   1st PB, 1st Printing   1953      $30   SOLD to piper

Cover art by Richard Powers. These Galaxy Novel Digest are pretty common in general but very tough in nice shape due to the flimsy paper covers

Fine Plus. Super glossy, appears unread. Great off white page quality. Light toning to covers. Tiny chipping to lower right pages, mostly at rear. Unusual to see one like this.

The Death Dealers by Isaac Asimov   Avon T-287   Paperback Original, 1st Printing  1958   $40  SOLD to Tupenny Conan

Killer (literally) Femme Fatale cover art by GGA master Robert Maguire. An astonishingly nice copy of Asimov's signature Crime Novel. He also wrote crime short stories but I believe this was his only novel. Lot's of crossover appeal with this pb.

Very Fine. Covers bright and completely smooth, obviously unread with virtually no surface or edge wear. Great off white page quality. Light toning to interior.  Likely unimprovable.

Fear by L.Ron Hubbard   Galaxy Science Fiction Novel No. 29   1st PB, 1st Printing   1957      $20  SOLD to mstrange

Fantastic cover art by Leo and Diane Dillon. A tough Galaxy Novel in nice shape due to high demand for Hubbard, cheap paper and the dark cover colors. A very well crafted story. Read this one to see why he was a well regarded author before the Dianetics controversy.

Fine Minus. Square, glossy and tight. Very light edge chipping and wear, small bindery tear/chip at top spine, but no reader or corner creasing. Usual toning to pages and covers. A very collectible copy

Stranger In A Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein Avon V-2056 1st Print   June 1962         $80 SOLD to Tupenny Conan

Neil Boyle cover art.  A stunning copy. This was my over-copy for the last 5 years. I ponied up for a marginally better one last year.

1st paperback edition, 1st printing with no printing number information on the copyright page.

The 1962 Hugo award winner, Heinlein's most famous novel. Hard to find the first printing at all, let alone in nice condition. This book was passed around on campuses like a loose joint and suffers all the hardships of both fat volumes and black cover books.

Fine/Fine Plus.  Solid tight binding. Brilliant colors. Light finger crease to lower right corner, no other creasing to the covers. light edgewear. Great page quality. May be unread - a stunning copy of a scarce, thick paperback that is usually found creased and torn. It would be hard to upgrade from this copy.
