To submit as a comic or magazine? 1 1

I have a graphic novel I'd like to submit. The concern is that it's a 1/2in thick. Do I submit it as a magazine?

Hello, CGC grades most magazines that fit within the following dimensions: 11-1/2" tall x 8-7/8" wide x 1/2" thick (except magazines with hard covers or jeweled covers).

So even though it's a graphic novel, because it's 1/2in thick it goes in the magazine category? It meets all tall/wide requirements for both comics and magazines.

Magazines normally ask issue number, year, etc. And that's not the case with this.

I submitted a Raphael #1 along with a bunch of other "normal size" comics but CGC separated it when they received and now it's under a Magazine submission. I would think I shouldn't be able to place the order in the first place. Just like when I try to slip in my early 70s comics in the modern tier. CGC says No No No.
