Reholder or press and regrade? Will this lose grade if I reholder? 1 1

Would love input here and how others would navigate this situation. I was informed by seller that the comic was not affect at all. Still waiting for it to arrive.

The seller is correct; If you send in for re-holder, it should not be re-graded since the comic has not been affected.

Sorry, I miss wrote this. I was looking to clean and press this as an point besides just re-holder. Which would cause it to be re-graded. I have seen some horror stories though. Re-holder is the safe bet. Clean and press it get hairy.

Ah, so you're asking for opinions on Re-Holder vs Press?

IMO this would not receive higher than an 8.0 if pressed/cleaned. I would advise to re-holder.

I am in agreement - I do not think it will benefit from pressing - re-holder, take your 8.0 and run !  CGC has become stricter since this grading, might get  7.5 upon re-grading

Yup 100% correct. CGC scares me when it comes to older comics. Not a fan.

So I have a similar issue, I have 2 books that got damaged and have to go in to get reholders. Do i take this opportunity to press and clean then grade or just go with the holders?
