Objective knowledge Regarding Treasury Size
1 1

3 posts in this topic

CGC states, "CGC does grade magazine-size books. However, CGC does not grade treasury-size books as their size exceeds even the largest available CGC holder."

Treasury size is a mere 13.5" x 10" while a concert poster is 14" x 20"

With the understanding that thickness is a difference as well, on the positive side these statements are contradictory.

There is a market for treasury size, so what is the reality over not grading them? Thanks.

Hello, thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, we do not have a holder that can encapsulate treasure editions safely. Posters are not encapsulated in the same holder as comics. Because of this, they are not comparable.

Do posters have an inner well like comics? I didn't think so.

@St. Unger No they do not. Posters are encapsulated using a single-sealed "sleeve". Much like our Currency Grading Service PMG this encapsulation method is used for larger paper collectibles. This allows the collectibles to still be graded and protected without the use of a bulky hard/heavy outer plastic holder. You will see this same encapsulation method used on signed prints, and original art when witnessed through Signature Series. I hope this helps!
