Not something I'm going to drop my money on, admittedly, and I bet there are a lot of nicer raw copies out there to be found. But overall that's not the joke the other one was. Then again, I'm happy with the raw I paid $10 for several years back, even with the slight corner creases: Darwination and pmpknface
Darwination
So that's the final magazine sized issue? Pretty sweet. Ten bucks? 300 bucks means somebody's been exposed to a little too much of that spice, but I can see it as being in the realm of possibility for somebody that really wants a nice copy without having to look for it. Seems like Analog is the sort of thing you buy a long run of for dirt cheap in a big box, but I'm sure I'm out of touch per usual

But some issues can be a pain, because they've inevitably been cherry picked by the first person to see the lot.
Darwination
New one from the land down under via Wisconsin, a funky monkey for sure, first one of the title I've ever seen. I don't even remember what random eBay search this popped up under, Crime Story Magazine #4, an Australian digest. Phil Stephensen-Payne sez: Quote Little is known about this magazine. A series of at least 12 issues labelled "Volume 6" was published by Blue Diamond with dates from Jun-1952 to Apr-1954 at least. Other issues have been seen with no dates and just issue numbers, published by Blue Diamond or Page Publications, which appear to duplicate the contents of the other series and are assumed to be later reprints. In addition, while it is likely that most of the stories are reprints, only a small number have been traced and it is possible the titles have been changed for many of the others. A little skinnier and a little shorter than a Manhunt. Printed in Sydney, it's 68 pages, two columns with tiny print, saddle-stitched. It's a beater copy but, oh, well, ten dolla and suitable enough for my nefarious pursuits Cheesecake ifc, have to love it. Harry Whittington, Phil Ketchum, Milton Ozaki Crazy little spot illos in the corners here and there, only one full page splash like you'd traditionally see in a U.S. digest. How's this for a back cover? Edited April 19 by Darwination waaaghboss, Pat Calhoun, OtherEric and 1 other

It's for an incredible story, too. Pat Calhoun and Darwination 1

Popular Post Darwination
I managed to sneak a few digests into a recent order of beater paperbacks. I couldn't resist this one at $5 The Humorama digests really are charming. The pin-ups are great (this one has a 6 page Bettie spread inside), there's cartoons by the likes of Bill Ward, Dan DeCarlo, Bill Wenzel, Jefferson Machamer, and I've even grown to admire the single toned cover designs. And can one ever get enough boob jokes? Dr. Love, pmpknface, Yorick and 2 others
