Okay, Now after all the craziness of kids and stuff I was able to finally take a shot of the awesome stuff Mark or also known as the awesome Kramerica . One day I'd like to share a beer with this guy.

Happy Christmas, everyone!

I opened my presents first by unwrapping the outer dull plain brown paper to find a beautifully wrapped box in festive colors.

After further unwrapping I was delighted to find exactly what I had asked for.  It's a Christmas miracle!  Thank you so much @Murphman13 for the wonderful gifts this year!  They are going straight to my collection after I read the stories like a sixth grader on the floor flipping through the pages under the tree!

Oh man, @aszumilo really went above and beyond.  I couldn't get all these in one picture on my table.  

First, he sent these cool collected omnibuses

And in addition to those, a sweet graded Hulk 342.

And then, just a ton of books.  Some of these he picked because I had noted I was missing them from my old childhood runs, and some were just cool surprises.

Thank you so, so very much (don't tell my family I was more excited by this than anything they gave me....)

His attention to the gift-wrapping itself was amazing (as noted in a previous post). The gifts themselves were spectacular (sounds like I'm describing marvel comic titles LOL), exactly matching what I'd like to receive.

Several Bronze Age SUPERMAN and ACTION Comics along with a 2024 MARVEL calendar and as a bonus, a Peanuts Cookie Tin that lights up and plays the Christmas Peanuts tune when you press the button! My wife and I actually love it.

So thank you Jazzman, for the incredible gifts you sent.

So glad you received it and that you liked it.  As for the wrapping, I can take no credit for it since it's all my wonderful wife's handy talent!  She goes all out in decorating and never skimps on making sure that a gift is given as much attention to the presentation as to the contents.

I always love this time of the year with the gift exchanges!  It's truly the most wonderful time of the year!

The Fireside is in exceptionally high grade and is one I have never owned before. I am excited to do some serious reading on my day off tomorrow.

My Secret Santa this year was frozentundraguy aka Dale and he sent me a sweet, sweet group of picture frames for my collection. Some I didn't have at all and one which was a nice upgrade. He also shared with me a Christmas Poem that he wrote in the early 2000's. I didn't want to post it here without his blessing but if he gives it, it is really good. Anyway, the loot:

Yes, the MOTP is a sweet one. When it comes to picture frame covers it was Gil Kane and the Severin's who I thought had the best ones. Oh, and Bill Everett. Anyway, lovely books. And your great poem:

I've got to sing the praises of @Shadow, who was my Secret Santa this year.  I asked for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles anything.  He got me a best-of Splinter book along with a good mix of other 80's books right in the same vein as the TMNT from the same era, most of which I've never heard of.  I'm looking forward to reading them.    He also got me a Splinter from the 80's Playmates toyline, which is a real blast from the past.  I had one many years ago, but it was played-with so much that it didn't look nearly as good as this one.  The weapons are still on the rack...it's practically new!

To me, the best thing of all was the card.  He put what looks to be a TON of work into the artwork in the card.  It looks absolutely terrific and I'll definitely be keeping it in my art portfolios.  I'm floored by the talent (and generosity) around here.

So after waiting until Christmas Day, I was finally able to open the presents sent by none other than @Turtle, my Secret Santa. First, he had sent a huge bag full of treats from London which was shared with and enjoyed by a large number of people. Many of these treats I’ve never actually had before! 

 

My daughter enjoyed getting the pack of glitter pens as a budding artist, and they will be put to good use!

They say a person can never have enough toys, and that is true enough. So a BIG thank you for thinking outside-the-box and sending the massive Spider-Man wall art! It’s amazing! (It’s about 18” and lights up with LEDs.)

 

To top it off, there arrived a Spider Visor, something I have also never seen before locally. Thank you for the spectacular mask!
 

My family and cats thought it was a riot! Happy Holidays, and thank you again for a memorable 2023 Secret Santa exchange, @Turtle !
