Anyone who has the time/inclination (it takes like 5 seconds) might consider clicking the "Report Item" link in the listing, reporting the item as possibly fraudulent, and providing a link to this forum thread. The more people who do, the more likely eBay is to investigate the account. It might make it more difficult to list stolen books, if that's in fact what is happening. If not, there's a response mechanism through which the seller can provide provenance for the item he is selling.

 

EDIT:

To anyone having difficulty navigating the menu options when reporting an eBay item as potentially fraudulent as a private citizen, see the photo below for the drop down options you should choose. Also, in the comments field, you can write something to the effect of: "User appears to be selling stolen items. See following thread for details: URL".

You can DM your details or reach out to me on instagram if you had any questions or requests for whatever actions you are planning, otherwise I'm not jumping through mysterious hoops for a stranger online who won't even extend the minimum courtesy of offering some sort of details or context  to establish a sliver of trust.

but if you don't speak with them on zoom how could you possibly "understand the gravity of our situation and yours."

The gravitational exponent assigned to your situation needs explanation!

This sounds kind of like it will be a sales pitch with them explaining how you will receive $10000 in court awards; but they just need a small $500 deposit to start the process (paid in Fortnite gift cards). An actually attorney would have already reached out via email/phone requesting an address they could more formally send a letter to as you will likely need to be deposed in some form (even if it is just a written statement) given the information you have.

It is also just an interesting coincidence that both new people are CGC specific forum savvy to know how to block profile views before posting. That is just weird and not something someone natively looks for on first sign up.

I also got a kick out of his ASM 129 sale with the “I forget who” unverified signature that is clearly Gerry Conway.  This man was supposed to be an industry pro?

Yep, I posted that immediately after she showed up with the bomb post but her info was so juicy it seemed to be glossed over.
