Ka-Zar #1 (1970 series).  Technically, this is the 1st stand-alone comic book for Ka-Zar, even though it reprints earlier stories from X-Men #10 and Daredevil #24...which includes Zabu's 1st appearance.  The front cover shows hidden profanity near the spine (palm tree) and above Zabu's rump.

GD, probably lower; off-white pages.  This one was a bit difficult for me to grade and price because the back cover is completely detached, but included with the comic.  Also, there were three extra staples added from outside the cover.  The original staples are still there, but with some rust migration.  One of the three staples was mostly popped out, so I removed it to prevent injury or further damage to the comic.  It was just kind of hanging there.  There's a burn through, and onto, the front cover and some pages underneath.  There is a tear in that area as well.

The max grade I believe this comic would get is a 2.0, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was lower.  The book is complete and readable...kind of unique.

VF, or better; cream to off-white pages.  Another clean/press candidate. :)

Little Monsters #17 (Gold Key).

This comic also has a fully detached front cover.  Both covers are in danger of separating from each other.  There are bits of paper falling off the covers, but the book looks to be intact and readable.  This one is very tricky putting into and pulling out of the comic bag.  I didn't take a back cover scan...no need.

Man-Thing #5 (2nd series)(newsstand).

GD, maybe better; off-white to white pages.  The comic is intact and readable, but there's a bend and ink-breaking creasing diagonal through the book.  The lower half of the front cover's right page edge shows some wear and small tears.  There is a stain on the back, top left corner.  A clean/press will help a bit.

Marvel and DC Present, Featuring The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans #1 (newsstand).  This comic features the 1st appearance of the Source Wall, the 3rd appearance of Deathstroke The Terminator, as well as an appearance by Darkseid.  It also contains work by Walt Simonson.

GD, or better; cream to off-white pages.  The comic shows a number of issues and defects, but the major defect is that the center wrap is detached from the staples. The wrap underneath that is detached at the top staple and close to detaching from the bottom staple. The pages weren’t ripped out of the staples…the book is very thick (Baxter paper) and the staples weren’t done very well.  A press would help, but I don't see the grade going much higher.

Walt Disney Mickey Mouse #198 (Gold Key).  This copy is the Whitman variant.

VG-, or better; cream to off-white pages.  This comic is also complete.  Defects are pretty much covered in the scans.  What may not show is that both covers could really use a press.  They are moderately 'crinkly', for lack of a better word, almost like they suffer from very light moisture damage.  However, I don't see any staining or damage to the interior pages.
