Sgt. Rock #342, with Joe Kubert works.  This story is based on a real-life incident that MR. Ayers faced during World War II.  Ayers draws himself in the story, along with a cameo of Paul Levitz and a sequence where he draws an (unnamed) Sgt. Fury story.

FN/VF, or better; off-white pages.  The scans tell the story…nothing wrong inside that I could see.  Pretty clean comic, if you ask me, except for a few soil spots on the front cover.  A clean and press will help some.

The next five listings are for the 5-issue limited series 'Shadow of the Batman', from 1985.  They are reprints of other comics, which contain works by Walt Simonson, Allen Milgrom, Giordano, Len Wein, and others.  You can buy the lot for $20 shipped, or as individually priced. :)

Shadow of the Batman #1, wrap-around cover.  This issue reprints Detective Comics #469 and #470, as well as House of Mystery #274.

VF-, or better; off-white to white pages.  This comic is in pretty good shape, except for a mildly blunted bottom spine corner and a few ink-breaking spine ticks.  There is a bit of paper missing from the spine near that bottom corner.

$6

Shadow of the Batman #2, wrap-around cover.  This issue reprints Detective Comics #471 and #472, as well as Weird War Tales #51.

VF/NM, or better; off-white pages.  The back shows what appears to be an ink rub at the page edge near the letter ‘N’ of the big tombstone.  I believe this is a production error because the paper is smooth and there isn’t any wear on the edge.  You be the judge.  There is a very mild stacking indentation on the front along the spine.

Shadow of the Batman #3, wrap-around cover.  This issue reprints Detective Comics #473 and #474, as well as Weird War Tales #52.

VF+, or better; off-white to white pages.  The back shows a couple of small bends at the upper page corner that don’t break the ink, and will press out.  The spine corners show a bit of wear.

Shadow of the Batman #4, wrap-around cover.  This issue reprints Detective Comics #475 and #476, as well as Mystery in Space #111.  Joker appears.

FN/VF, or better; off-white pages.  The biggest defect is that the top spine corner has about a 1/4” split in it.

Solo Avengers #20, final issue (newsstand).  This issue features Hawkeye, as well as appearances by Plant Man and Moondragon.  The series changes to Avengers Spotlight #21 after this issue.

This comic has plenty of issues, but it's better than a 'reader' copy.  Also, it's not exactly an exciting comic book.  I'm not bothering with a grade estimate.

Space Family Robinson, Lost in Space on Space Station One #41 (Gold Key).  This copy is the Whitman variant.

FR, maybe better; cream to off-white pages.  This comic is complete, but the cover is barely attached to the bottom staple.

Spider-Woman #40 (newsstand). This issue features the 1st appearance of Flying Tiger.

GD, or better; tan to cream pages.  I've dropped the grade considerably because of the 'wrinkling' and indentations/folds in the comic.  You can see what I'm referring to on the back.  It goes through the entire book, and there may be a bit of ink-breakage in spots on some of those creases.  A press will fix this comic, and should give it a higher grade.

Star Blazers #3 (Comico).  This is part three of a 5-part limited series, with painting artwork by Ken Steacy.

This is kind of a gee-whiz comic book...nothing special since I don't have the complete series.  See scans for defects...there is some light ink loss/wear on both covers.

Star Trek #23 (Gold Key), George Wilson painted cover.

VG-, maybe better; cream to off-white pages (more off-white IMO).  This comic is complete.  The biggest issues, besides the obvious ones on the front, are the moisture damaged areas on the back cover.  There is some light staining in those areas, and the moisture spot near the bottom edge does affect the interior pages…just not with stains.  A clean and press should help a bit here.

Star Trek #26 (Gold Key), George Wilson painted cover.  This copy is the Whitman variant.

GD+, give or take; cream to off-white pages (again, more OW IMO).  This comic is complete, but the scans tell the story showing lots of creasing, including ink-breaking printers creases.  A press will help a bit.

Star Trek #38 (Gold Key), George Wilson painted cover.

VG, or better; cream to off-white pages.  This comic is complete.  There is a spine roll/curl, mostly at the top half of the spine.  This, and a mild misalignment/miscut makes for an off-center cover.  A few pages inside show a printer’s crease, or wrinkle.

$12

Star Trek #44 (Gold Key), George Wilson painted cover.  This comic is loaded with Alex Raymond swipes.

VG, or better; off-white pages.  This comic is complete.  Again, there appears to be a mild misalignment/miscut making for a slightly off-center cover.  There appears to be ink overspray on the top, but the back shows some soiling at that spot…along with other places.  A clean/press will help here.

Star Wars #6, Whitman reprint.  This issue is Part 6 of the movie adaptation.

GD+, give or take; cream to off-white pages.  The biggest issues are the clipped bottom spine corner and the creased/clipped bottom right corner.  The bottom spine corner doesn't look like a production defect because the cut edges look a bit rough.
