Can someone check GO Collect for the possibly ebay history of Tales of the Teen Titans #44, CGC 9.8,  sold for $650 on June 29, 2022?

I don't see that it has a record on GPA after that.

Of course, sale prices peaked shortly before that at $850, and plummeted after that.

I ran that cert through all the usual suspects, no matches and nothing remarkable as far as the traits I'd use to tease out suspect books. The seller from that Jun 29 2022 past sale is located in Pequannock, New Jersey, so there's still some possibility it circulated from the perp(s) alleged to be at the nexus of this scandal. Without a preceeding appearance of that book, there's no chance it can be taken any further even if you go back to the eBay seller and ask where he got it from. Having a "donor" image is everything in proving swaps of this suspected nature. Below is the image from the original eBay listing:

Nothing will change at CGC, it’s the same incompetent management who allowed fraudulent books to be sent in for reholder, held these fraudulent books in their hands and then sent back this bogus CGC product to the scammer to be sold to the unknowing CGC masses. They allowed CGC employee thugs to print fake labels for an unknown number of books to bilk CGC customers.

CGC has preferential customers who send in books for a “reholder” wherein they just send in the book with a label without the cracked/broken case. NO QUESTIONS ASKED, CGC sends these natives back a freshly reholdered book. Try that yourself and see how that works out for ya.

It’s the same CGC employees hired from Shoe Town to handle your books at minimum wage.

The natives have to dump a few 100 CGC slabs a month, this chitshow is pinching their wallet and is why they pop in to read a few posts, throw a few rocks, then disappear back in CGC’s turd funnel.

Victim blaming is never pretty. Looked at your posting history in the past few years as I pondered a response to your ad hominem rant. It’s pretty sparse but does indicate a hostility to CGC that predates this debacle. If you don’t have something nice to say….

Thanks for checking.  Hopefully they are still pondering my request to check if this was a Zanello submission.

Have you seen any other involvement of that azwildcatz520 ebay user ID, that I mentioned to you earlier?

That AZ connection seemed possible to me.

So what?

If you search back far enough, you might find a cheerleader practically polishing somebody's knob about a seminar that person gave at a con, about restoration.

Should I bring that up, about that guy, as his bias?

I vote for letting the moderator do whatever he thinks is necessary.

IMO, these boards remain interesting because of the range of the points of view, such as the above

First off who’s talking about needing the moderator?  Looking at a person’s posting history is definitely fair game for trying to understand their perspective. In this case it’s very few and far between in recent years. Plenty of mistakes made by CGC that in hindsight allowed them to be victimized, no doubt, but “natives” “thugs” “incompetent” Shoe Town” “CGC turd tunnel” doesn’t advance the conversation in any way imho.

If it bugs you that much, notify the mods.

Personally, I've never done it once, but you be you.

If this is in Florida, can you tell me where so if I ever go there, I can take an alternate route?

While we do allow criticism, everything has it's limits.  Keep this in mind, or you may be banned from this topic.  This just happened to one person.  It could have been worse, as continuous name calling of CCG staff or our company could result in being banned.  In other words, if your sole purpose here is to bash our company and/or promote our competitors, you may be escorted to the door.  Demanding us to do better is one thing.  Name calling and constant trashing is another.  I am hoping that this one action that I have taken will be the last.  I am not seeing this with most everyone else but, I thought I would post this to prevent any others from being banned from this topic or worse.  Please do not dwell on what I have posted, as it is not up for discussion and could result in posts being removed.

Don't worry about the "nothing to see here brigade" - they're role is to foment and create division and distraction. Some have no business even posting here based on their history, and with others, you can see right through their intent because money is inevitably the corrupting influence. They might even see the information I've posted here as a threat to their grabby pursuits. I don't even need to see it in their written words or parse the hidden meaning in what they write, I know their intent when they ask how I've been able to "spend" the kind of time on what I have, or that all that has been highlighted is exhasuting. Their miscalculations go beyond placing that much significance on a tamper-proof claim that has been disproven, in the most perverse manner imaginable, just look at the evidence compiled thus far. It extends to belieiving any one person can invoke that kind of change.

Evolution seems to proceed not by design but by chance and serendipity.

well said.
