White/Frosty inner well border 1 1

Is it normal to have some parts of the inner well appearing white/frosty instead of clear like the rest of the inner well border? I bought this book online and have never seen this with any of my other slabs before.

First off - awesome book! I was just looking at my copy yesterday! 

 

I can't speak to why that occurs, but in have seen it on slabs before. Hopefully someone else can help us understand what it is, but I don't believe it's anything to be concerned about.

Looks to be the inner well seal; sometimes they are not clear when sealed leaving visible marks. I am more concerned with the bottom right corner, the inner well looks to be warped is the corner of the slab still sealed without cracks?

Now that you mention it, the bottom right corner does look like it's missing a piece. However it still looks sealed to me. I took more pictures and it does look warped like you said.

holder looks fine; I was looking at the picks from my phone and the inner well looked warped but with closer pictures and my computer it looks ok.

this is what I was originally concerned with; but on the side photo it is just bent. Standard QC failures.

Completely normal...there is a pretty wide variance in how these inner well seals look. Enjoy!

I had a buyer reject a slab because of that very issue. So it is of concern if it affects the potential resale since it isn't visually appealing.

Relatively common. I have several slabs that look like this. Not a deal breaker for me.

I had 1 of 4 books in a submission returned with the same issue - the white opaque seal went around the entire book - it looked really weird so I sent it back as a mechanical error 🤷‍♂️

You're supposed to be able to see the weld. That's normal. 

But that particular weld looks very sloppy. At least it didn't damage the book, although we've seen many instances of it.
