Oh man, RIP Ed. Like others have said, I respected him so much as a dealer and was almost sad when he went to Heritage as he wouldn't be behind the "dealer's table" anymore. Pancreatic cancer (and all cancers) suck.

Very sorry to hear Rick. They say the measure of a man is who they leave behind. Ed obviously left his mark just by the posts here. It seems he lived life to the fullest and will be missed by many in our little hobby. RIP Ed

being a collector, i generally save my really nice auction catalogues, most of them heritage.  one day i wanted to look thru the cage-dedicated one, but couldn't find it.  i sent ed an email and asked if maybe a spare was laying around over there, and in a couple days i had a hardback/dust-jacketed one for my collection.  just exactly the kind of guy he was.

I never knew Ed in person, only from an ad he placed in the old CBG in the 90s.  It's always sad to lose a member of our community though.  R.I.P Ed...
