faulty equipment when it comes to pressing comics. 1 1

i purchased a 'hangar 9' heating iron, and after it was set on low and its craddle ( to help remove some spine ticks ), i could smell plastic melting, and looked over to my heating iron, and the metal kneck had melted away from the plastic body. WTF !!!

Anybody had this issue before?

I'd never heard of the product, and the first review I found online said he burned out two units in a short time. Hope that helps.

yeah, I've seen three people on you tube use this brand, over the 100's of vids of comic restoration i watched.
