PG *A* ASM 50 2 2

Not my book, someone told me about it as the seller was offering well below FMV so I put my tinfoil hat on and looked it up.

cgc grade aside what do you think this book should grade at?

When grader notes are a novella, the book is probably not NM. 

8.0 at best IMO.

Ok, honestly I put together a conspiracy theory in like 5 minutes and just wanted to make sure I wasn't too off base

The book was graded in 2001 (period notorious for tough grading standards)
The books original grading notes have a bunch of pressable defects
The book has a custom label.

I honestly believed that this was one of the reholdering scandal books but I didn't see the cert # on the list.

I really feel that someone cracked a 9.0 and added the label to a 7.5/8.0 for relabeling.

Call me crazy but wow this book looks crappy.

I don't think it's a 9.0, but I don't think it's a ridiculous overgrade either.

8.0 & 8.5 both seem reasonable to me, although I'd probably lean 8.0
