What's the most expensive book you've actually read? 2 2

A few years ago, I read my newly purchased TTA 27 before submitting it. Purchased as a 4.0 from MCS, it came back as a 6.0 from CGC, and Mr. Storms sold it for me at what might have been a high GPA at the time.  

Whats the most expensive book you've actually read?

I've read my Detective 31 several times. It's a 7.0 restored, whatever that's worth. I've also read my AF 15, Hulk 1, etc. 

Gotta read those comics! It's what they are here for.

I've read and reread many times my Hulk 1, FF 1 & TTA 27. I guess those are some of the most valuable books in my collection.

I bought a Cerebus #1 raw just so I could read (and smell) it. I did get it slabbed after I enjoyed it for a couple months. I've read copies of Primer #2 and the original Grendels but not the 9.8s in my PC. The ones I read and sent for grading always came back 9.2 or lower. Go figure.

I read my AF #15 back when I had it. Granted, it was a .5 and was already falling apart.

I would guess these would be the most expensive; numerous Mile High LB Cole books, many of the early Action Comics like issue 13 in around F/VF, Punch 12 in Fine+ most Phantom Lady's in around NM, X-Men 1 in 8.0, and All American 61 in VF.

I read my 7.5 All Select Comics #1, a Captain America Comics #3 I had back in the late 80s which was probably a solid vg, an Amazing Spider-Man #1 that graded out as a 5.0. More Daredevil #1s (1964) than I can count. Love that book for some reason. Captain America #16 was fun as was Captain America #37. I have never owned a book worth 6 figures or more so these "little" ones will have to do as my flex.

This is the second most-expensive book I have, purchased here on the Boards, that I've read.  The most expensive is a slab. If some of my books were of higher grade/quality (like FF #48) it'd be them instead.

I read my 0.5 Amazing Fantasy (which I have since sold to @Cushing Fan). I have read my 2.5 Fantastic Four, my 3.0 Amazing Spider-Man, my 6.0 Daredevil #1, a raw and very well loved Brave and the Bold #28 which I sold years ago, and my raw X-Men #1 that I sold years ago. I have read all my Fantastic Four issues #1 - #300, all my Amazing Spider-Man issues #1 - #400, and all my Daredevil issues #1 - #200.

I've often bought reprints of keys to read, but if I was planning to sub a book, I'd usually go through it and read it.

Back when I was in junior high school (now classified as "middle school"), a fellow schoolmate sold me an Avengers #2 for $10; it was a 1.5, but great to read...sadly, it was lost somewhere in those "back-in-the-day" days...
